On the morning of Tuesday, December 20th 2016, police and paramedics responded to a report of a young man being stabbed inside a home in the 700 block of Albert Street, near Booth Street in downtown Ottawa at 8:20AM.
The victim was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition and minor injuries.
Ottawa Police took one person from the scene into custody, no charges were mentioned at this time.
Later on police announced that they had laid several charges against the suspect in custody from the crime scene.

Christopher Campbell, 29 years old, of Ottawa
Has been charged with the following crimes:
Attempted murder.
Aggravated assault.
Assault with a weapon.
Being in a dwelling unlawfully.
Committing an indecent act with the intent to insult or offend.
Theft under $5,000.
